And then there was BoYo... → boyofroyo.com

A few years ago, my friend Melissa and I decided to give up processed (man-made) sugar for 21 days, the idea being that if you go 21 days without just about anything you no longer crave it. And it worked! For a while. But, my dark chocolate addiction got the better of me, and this summer my mom and I decided that it was time to re-institute our lack-of-craving, so I’m currently on day 10 of no sugar! And it’s not as hard as I thought it was going to be.

On the second or third day, though, I remember having a wicked craving for frozen yogurt, West Coast style (meaning, Pinkberry, Red Mango, Yogurtland, etc.), and while I banished my craving in a matter of seconds, I was left with the realization that even if I wanted that type of frozen yogurt with delicious toppings, I would have to drive four hours to New York to find the closest Pinkberry, and probably fly across the country to enter into the self-serve world of Yogurtland.

And then I got an e-mail from Anna telling me that in Boston was a place called BoYo Frozen Yogurts— an all-natural, Yogurtland-type place, right in our very own state! Luckily my 21 days will be up by the time she returns to Boston in between her life in North Carolina and Australia— I think we’ll both have to indulge ourselves once…

I’ll let you know how it compares to the California versions, but Boston tends to know what they’re doing and do it well, so I’m guessing it won’t be half-bad…!
